Listed in Kelly's Surrey directories 1895 & 1899 as George Vallis, Colliery Agent of Carshalton.
Listed in Kelly's of 1933 as Vallis W.A. Carshalton Surrey. Not listed among Coal Merchants in the 1938 Colliery Year Book. Most coal probably came from the East Midlands.
